Trans Canada Trail

The Multiple Story of a Nation

Trans Canada Trail

The British Columbian part of the Trans Canada Trail is about 2000km traverse in southern British Columbia, starting at Alberta's border, crossing the Rockies, Central Okanagan, the lower Frazer Valley and ending on Vancouver Island, over the Georgia Strait.

Following decommissioned railways, gravel side roads, forest service roads, double and singletracks, the BC Trail, as the Trans Canada Trail in British Columbia is known, says a lot about Canada's effort to maintain the south border, recalls the period of the annexation of British Columbia, when it became a province of Canada and no longer a British colony - it was part of an old access trail system becoming a railway in early 20th. It tells about Canada as nation, blending cultures, showing glorious overcoming, and sovereignty.

The tour boasts some of the most spectacular views the province has to offer – a perfect way to explore the many breathtaking regions of British Columbia, very popular destinies such as Myra Canyon Trestles and old railroad tunnels, no talking about several historic mining towns.

We have picked up the most iconic passageways, available on our tour as Cowicham, Greater Vancouver, Fraser Valley, and the classic Kettle Valley Rail Trail.
